Does Your Boxer Do These Funny Things? My Dog Can’t Be The Only One

Sometimes I look at my boxer and just shake my head. Where in the world does this odd behavior come from?

Whether it’s my weirdness rubbing off on her or something in the water, there’s one thing for sure: BOXERS ARE FUNNY!

Let us count the ways:

1. Boxers Are Jealous Of Your Affection Toward Others

My wife and I cannot go anywhere without our boxer. In fact, we can’t even enjoy our own privacy.

I cannot remember the last time we were able to sit together on the couch and watch a movie without our pooch wiggling her way in between us.

When she isn’t wedged between mom and dad, she sure isn’t happy.

This scene is alarmingly accurate.

2. They Demand To Be Walked

If you haven’t yet walked your boxer today, you will definitely hear about it. No one ever says they ‘forgot’ to walk their boxer.

They are an energetic bunch and cannot be at peace until they’ve had their daily stroll around the neighborhood. If you deny them of their peace, they will deny you of yours.

3. They Love Kitties! Or They Hate Them? Who Knows!

Boxers can be the sweetest, most gentle dogs in the world. When in the presence of cats, they can display a level of care and affection that will bring a tear to your eye…

…but sometimes I think they keep cats around just to have a sparring partner. I can’t really figure it out.

4. They’re Scared Of Their Farts

When my wife and I first got our boxer, we noticed an odd pattern of behavior. Every once in a while, she would abruptly rise from her slumber and head for the next room with alarming speed. The first couple of times, we weren’t sure what was going on…and then we smelled it.

Yes, our boxer is deathly afraid of her farts. Apparently they wake her in her sleep and send her running like she owes them money. We even came up with a name for this phenomenon: the gas and go.

This boxer suffers from the same affliction.

5. Boxers Will Not Rest Until They Claim Your Couch

How do you keep a boxer off of a couch? Well, you don’t.

We’ve all tried hard to instill in our dogs that the couch is off limits, and they do listen…when we’re home. But as soon as we walk out that door, they’re back on their living room thrones.

We’ve tried every technique: training, tin foil, double-sided tape, we’ve even set dining-room chairs on our couch or stacked it with pillows. None of it worked. Boxers are just too dang determined to get on that couch.

I get it. The couch is comfy…

We have 2 male 7 month old boxers Colt & Charlie they’re brothers and boy do they get in trouble . They roughhouse so much slam into furniture as well as people should they be in the way knocking them down. They snore they fart they simply CANNOT BE LEFT ALONE!! Lol they chewed up a brand new coffee table ruin their own beds . But despite all that they have such a brotherly bond that amazes me they eat sleep and well you know together…. they have separate beds but for some reason they always end up cuddled up together.
